Revolution Exercise

We tried this creative exercise and were impressed with the results.
It’s from the book ?What If!: How to start a creative revolution at work. Try the exercise for yourself at work or at home.

Think of a product that you have, that you want some new ideas about, or have a problem with. The only rule is to suspend all judgment and allow your mind to wander and build on others’ ideas – especially the ridiculous ones!

Now ask these questions one at a time and allow time for ideas to flow:
1. What if we did nothing?
2. What if we had to make it for half the cost?
3. What if people bought twice as much?
4. What if we reversed the process?
5. What if we exaggerated the issue?
