We’re experimenting with a new meetup – Lunch and Learn. Next week, Nilesh Makan, will be joining us at our Lunch and Learn session, talking about Courage.
Scrum lists five core behaviours for teams and those communities that are practising scrum to adopt. These values and behaviours are intended to amplify team outcomes. One of the five core behaviours is that of courage. Courage, as per the Merriam-Webster dictionary, is the mental or moral strength to venture, persevere, and withstand danger, fear, or difficulty.
In these increasingly uncertain times, we need to find the strength and conviction to withstand rapid change; we need the courage to adapt, to learn and to be brave enough to try new things. We also require courage to lead and manage differently. As the world evolves, so does our approach to running businesses and teams.
To learn more about this join us next Wednesday, 17 November 2021 at 13:00, where we will find out how :
- To note the five core scrum behaviours with a view to delving into detail around the behaviour of courage.
- To understand how we can harness the fear of the unknown, and leverage it as a competitive advantage
- To consider what courageous leadership is and how courage is viewed as a case study in more progressive companies.
- To apply these concepts in your own domains.
