Scrum Training

About Scrum Training

If you are looking to learn more about Scrum, and start using it, training is a great place to start. We specialise in training whole teams together, so that they have a shared language and knowledge about how Scrum works. In our experience Scrum works much better when teams are trained together. Our Scrum training is a 1 day in house course, and we can cater for up to 25 people in a single course.

What we cover

We will cover the following topics in our Scrum Training

  • The history of agile and the agile manifesto
  • How agile and Scrum are related
  • How agile is different to waterfall
  • The Scrum Roles (Product Owner, Scrum Master and Team)
  • Requirements and estimation in agile
  • The Scrum meetings (Backlog Grooming, Sprint Planning, Daily Scrum, Sprint Review and Retrospective)

How we train

Our training approach is based on techniques to ensure maximum attendee learning and retention. We use interactive simulations and participant discussions to help people grasp concepts and apply them to their own situations.

With Growing Agile, you get the benefit of two experienced trainers. We pair train each class. This benefits attendees as they get 2 points of view on challenging situations and more individual attention. We use a variety of techniques to help participants stay engaged throughout the entire course. We also allow time in each course to cover any questions attendees might have.

Who is it for?

This training is ideal for any teams looking to learn more about how Scrum works, so that they can apply it in their own team. Scrum can work regardless of the type of work you do, we have trained teams in many different domains.

If you are looking for a public training course for one or two individuals, we do not offer this, as we find it seldom results in teams actually adopting agile. Instead take a look at our free online Scrum course. If you decide Scrum is right for you get in touch for us to train your whole team.
